Cognitive-behavioral therapies for couples and families
editThis chapter describes the current state of cognitive-behavioral therapy with couples and families. Following a summary of the model’s major concepts and identification of major proponents of the approach, normal and dysfunctional family processes are described. Ways of assessing and treating couple and family problems from a cognitive-behavioral perspective are described, with illustrative case examples, and the current status of research on the efficacy of these methods is summarized.
